The board held their April board meeting on Monday, April 11th. Minutes from the meeting should be available on the forum after being approved during the May meeting. As always, the board meetings are open to all members. If there are special concerns or initiatives that you would like to address, please attend the meeting.
We were fortunate to have a special guest at the meeting. Tom Sauret, the Regional Director for IMBA and Executive Director for SORBA was able to attend the meeting. He provided a lot of great information regarding the parent chapters and directions for the group. We appreciate Tom taking the time to visit Jacksonville.
The plans for the new bridge for the Z-Trail (the old a-frame bridge) are close to being complete. There are a few tweaks that have to be done to the design before final approval.
The chapter is getting ready to start on new signs for the Hanna Park trail system. This will be a pretty big undertaking and a notification will go out to let members know how they can help out.
