All of the below trails are either in the immediate area or are worth the 2 hour or less drive to them.

  • Hanna Park – Jacksonville Beach, FL. – The most established trail system in NE Florida, also the current longest system in Jax. Right on the beach, great place to take the family as it has beach, trails for every skill level and a kids park. [Map] [Trail Map]

  • Tillie K. Fowler Park – Jacksonville, FL. – A new-ish trail system on the west side of Jax, directly across from the main gate of NAS Jax on Roosevelt Blvd. Around 6-8 miles of trails if all are ridden. Work is being done to expand this system as it is the largest park in Jacksonville. [Website]

I ran into your teams on Hannah last Saturday- doing a great job of fixing the place up! I’d like to make sure that my name and email are on your list of volunteers- I’d love to contribute!

Also- I notice that your list of local trails does not include Mala Campra- it’s a great little ride just south of Marineland that has a great mix of flowy single track and some tough technical challenges. “Cloud nine” actually reminds me a little of Alafia River!

I will pass your email along to DANO, he sends out the emails! Thanks for the props, we can always use help! We are working on updating MalaCompra and Nocatee Trali maps…

Please ad me to your contact list. I joined about a month ago. Will be happy to help with projects in Hanna, how about a pump track?

I would like to add that there is NOTHING at Hannah that my kids can ride. You have to be an accomplished rider for that place. The new extension to the Z is a perfect example. No flow and lots of 180 degree turns. YOu have to completely stop in many places.

Karl, we do have plans for a beginner trail that would basically follow the park perimeter along the utility road. Once the park gets a new fence along the south side, they are going to open the gate at the end of the service road. We’d love to have your input on what you’d like to see out there and even have you be part of the trail committee.
